Im thinking of buying a Akai MPD32 midi controller. I know its brand new, but is here anyone with experiences from it? I am planning to use it as my main ab Live controller.

sweet, I was just checking online and didn't see it available anywhere. I think I might take a trip to guitar center after work ;)

I had an MPD16 and found it very iffy. That being said, I've heard that they very much improved the pads on the MPD24 and now the MPD32. At the time, I made a decision to purchase V-Drums and learn to play them. It has served me well not only in that I can now play drums to some extent, but also my programming (Mouse + DAW or even step sequencers) has improved vastly. Also, playing on pads is different, and adds a different feel to things I like both very much. I've been thinking about getting an MPC, and seeing this thread, and credo's link, has got me thinking about it even more. They are definitely a unique tool.

attaching a big weight on the bottom of cheap pad kontrollers makes them handle better.
