that's definitely an interesting choice for an image but i guess that album did have the midines track on it ; p
Count me in - one of my fave artists in terms of energy. I tweeted about it awhile back and never really got any info. . . seems to have been abducted by aliens.
I think he might still be active, because I am always seeing new midines cartidges for sell on ebay.
You know he was on the 'old' em411, known as Dropkik. : ) He is still around sort of. Last project I saw him working on was a drum machine remake on Kickstarter. https: //www. kickstarter. com/projects/chriskann/micro-rhythm . . . There is a really good track he posted on a site I run called WeeklyBeats. http: //weeklybeats. com/#/ck/music/automatic-love
ah good info t80. looks like he's just abandoned wayfar in favor of http: //www. chriskann. com/index. html and abandoned chiptune in favor of synthwave http: //synthrecords. bandcamp. com/album/lets-make-it-tonight
looks like he's not been active on twitter since last july: https: //twitter. com/chriskann
If you're looking for some midi controllable NES action, check out Famitracker. It has MIDI control, instruments, etc. It's emulation of the 2A03 sound chip is excellent and it has other in-cart sound chips that other game studios added to their games in that era.
I had a MIDINes and I am a big NES sound fan, and to my ear, the Famitracker emulation basically sounds like a NES without all the noise and limitations. There are differences of course, but honestly, they're trivial.
gah!! I can't find any of his x|k music anywhere... thought it was on an old computer, but nope. anybody know where to find it online (the wayfar links are busted)
@monkeyplus1 @n9 @bogdan@spark @trash80 yoyoyo. i zipped a bunch of x|k stuff (it was all free i think so hopefully no bad blood). included is the self titled nanoloop album, "nestek" and "baud of passion"
