bogdan: Welcome aboard @ctrlfreq! This project is something else. I like the look of the main board, curious what all is going on there? Is it possible to use alternative light sources? IE, sit around in a train station and try to "capture" the passing lights from the train? Or does the source have to be quite close up? Possible to build some kind of app to have participants in the crowd interact with your rig somehow (Bluetooth, etc)? The drum bit is interesting. What parts of this are you working on currently? Thank you for sharing, curious to see/hear more updates.

dug: I think the main idea behind OpenFrameworks is that it allows you to build visual applications that can easily port between Macs and PCs. You still have to write your own code to do what you want to do, but there are a lot of helpful libraries that save you having to write all the plumbing to get you started! There are some libraries for interfacing audio and MIDI commands from input devices which i haven't looked at too deeply yet, but i'd like to get pix to 'respond' to audio signals somehow - i think this might be my next step.
